👀 Goodlawyer uses Slack as the primary method of communication for the Legal Concierge™ Team.
👀 Slack is a messaging app for business that connects people to the information they need. Slack was founded in 2009 in Vancouver.
What Is Slack?
Slack is by far the best method to:
- Get a quick response from a member of the Legal Concierge™ Team;
- Keep up to date on platform news and developments;
- Get new jobs and client leads; and
- Obtain access to the Goodlawyer network of lawyers.
Communication over Slack includes both “direct messages” to individuals, and "channels" (group chats that include all Lawyers and Goodlawyer team members).
If you are not on Slack, you are missing out on many of the benefits of the Goodlawyer community!
Goodlawyer’s Slack Channels
For general questions that might apply to other lawyers, or if you are unsure who to contact directly, post your question in the appropriate channel and someone from the Legal Concierge™ Team will respond.
See below for a brief description of each Lawyer Slack channel:
- huddle: Designed for general announcements, information sharing, and a general “catch-all” space.
- lawyer-support: Platform technical questions or issues (e.g. login problems, something isn't working in the lawyer dashboard, etc.).
- jobs: The Legal Concierge™ Team will post prospective jobs for Lawyers in this channel.
- ideas-feedback: Share ideas and feedback about the platform in this channel.
- fun-stuff: For sharing memes, lawyer wins, shout-outs, and other fun stuff!
- precedents: Need a precedent? Use this channel to ask fellow lawyers for that thing you need. Many of our lawyers are willing to share!
Direct messages (DMs)
If you have a question that may not be relevant or appropriate to post publicly, send a DM to a member of the Legal Concierge™ Team through Slack!
Make sure to check Slack frequently for messages, as this is the primary method of communication for the Legal Concierge™ Team.
Alternative Methods of Contacting the Legal Concierge™ Team
Email is the Legal Concierge™ Team’s secondary method of communication. The team will respond to emails but less quickly than Slack messages.
